Moral Philosophy

This is the ethics section of the course. This is where you get to decide what the words "good" and "bad" mean (if anything).

We'll be looking at different normative ethics theories and whether they work in telling us how to act.

We will also cover meta-ethics which is where we decide whether talking about morals is useful at all, or whether they are meaningless
 

Finally, you will look at applied ethical theories. You'll need to be able to apply all of the normative ethical theories to the issues as well as the metaethical theories.
